An afternoon at paradigm

Had a fun time with mister checking out the new mall around the block. It was our first time heading towards Paradigm mall. As we were about to take our first stroll in the new mall from the car park, we bumped into the newly weds. I have a feeling that I'm gonna love Paradigm mall as it is a nice compact mall packed with all the restaurants that I love. Not forgetting its 5mins away from the house and there's a cinema in it.

We were a bit parched and tired from walking and since mister was a coffee addict, we headed towards pacific coffee. Lucky for us they were having promotion buy 1 free 1. I had their yummy iced chocolate paradise while he had Americano. It was too bitter for him and since he was too shy, he took the packet sugar instead of sugar syrup. In the end, I had to ask it for him. We enjoyed the hour by munching on pastries from the loaf and reading magazines.

Love our time together just doing nothing.

 

The weekend is ending and this week has been the best-est of them all. My friend is all married and happy. He is officially a husband. Thanks to them, mister actually stayed super long at weddings. A record! Had fun catching up with the boys tho. Speaking of mister, I finally gave back his MacBook pro after using for close to 3 months. Twas fun and due to it, I had several interviews especially this week.

To end the week, I was forced to follow mister and his friend to jog. I managed to jog for a bit then I walked all the way. I did about 3km plus of the place. Then gained every calories back by the food at the aqiqah. Now to catch up watching my tv series. Ahhh the life of an unemployed person.

Date night

I was super happy when I first heard his intention about marriage. Not mister's but my friend, fariz. It felt as though it was just last year I consulted him and assured him that he will fall in love again. Well that was like what 8 years ago or so. Hahaha. Many thanks to Tia for introducing them. And not forgetting the time he went to UK and decided to take it to the next level. Either way, I am super happy for them.

The akad nikah was last night and instead of being there, mister and I had our own date night. A much due date night at sushi zanmai. But nevertheless, we are going for their wedding tonight and tomorrow night. It is very rare for mister to be at weddings back to back, but I'm so happy he made the exception for fariz.

Shazwan and syeera, may you be blessed with a beautiful marriage ahead. Truly happy for you both and I can't wait for the reception tonight and tomorrow. Next would be the joneymoon, rite shazwan?

Jihan's baby shower

 

Finally after weeks of hiding from her, we did it. As you can see, it was a race car themed shower as she is a huge fan of formula one. The surprised baby shower was done at marche, the curve. A total of 30 of friends and family were there to celebrate Jihan and Zameen's "race"to the delivery of their son. 

Aside from this beautiful cake, we also have yummy cupcakes and cute checkered flag cookie which was made by Alea. Not forgetting the miniature skittles that was scattered on each table. Those little buggers made Nina and I super sugar high.

 

I was part of the deco team and was supposed to be in charged of the goodie bag. Well, my idea of a goodie bag / door gift was simple. Too simple I guess that in the end, the goodie bag consists of jellies and candies, a pair of baby socks, baby bib and also cotton buds. On top of that, there was the rattle (my creation) and cookies. The boys made fun of my rattle as they said it look rather like testicles. Hahahaha. In my defense, if it was just my rattle then I would have made it rounder (with the help of fillers) and put a sticker on it. Oh well, next time I guess.

The games were so interesting especially Bingo and the word search. Nina is so creative, Masyaallah! She was also the mastermind behind all the designs for the baby shower. The only part was I hated that game where you eat the baby food. Those stuff is NASTY! Alhamdulliah we managed to pull it off. Everything from the black and white tablecloth to the placemats to the so called roads were all done by us. 

We love you Jihan and Zameen! Cant wait till your little Jay-Z is here.

A rosey Saturday

It's a beautiful Saturday and my first order of business starts out at the dentist. People find it weird that I basically see her every month. Right now, I'm waiting to do my scaling as well as polishing. Later there a surprise thingy that's happening for a friend. And tonight will be Russell Peters!

The sound of the machine is scary at the moment and that's my signal to sign off.

Muhammad's Aqiqah

Masyaallah, Huda is so lucky to have such a behaved little boy. Muhammad really live up to his name. It is rare to hear him cry because he is that good! Baby Muhammad had his head shaved on day 7 but this aqiqah was just for get together as well as solat.

{Dessert table : three tiered cake, strawberry shortcake, macaroons, marshmallows with choc chips on the side, brownies} 

Look at the dessert table decorated by Asma'. The cake of course is by Gateauxlicious (check out their FB too). I was there earlier and saw the cake making process. Was drooling waiting for the cake. Worth the wait.

Guess who is backkkk

He is finally back after a week away which was horrible for me. But it was nice to see him get to go overseas for a change instead of me. And as ritual, we usually share first meal together after the plane touch down. The downside of his trip was that we weren't able to celebrate out anniversary together. A first I must add. It's ok, the Pandora made up for it as a birthday present / anniversary present.

So happy he is back. Now for him to enjoy the hot hot sun we have been blessed with.
